1-2 TBS buttermilk + 2 cups heavy cream = homemade creamy cream créme fraîche . there's a little heating to about 85 degrees and standing at room temp 8-24 hours and refrigerating for 24 hours to 2 weeks and buying The Home Creamery for all your moovelous homemade dairy but it's all a drop in the milk pail.

Egg pizza and baby breads made with a little help from my friends...Rebecca told me that pizza and bread doughs should be wet, high moisture=light chewy dough...(she learned that from America's Test Kitchen)..Carol told me to break an egg on my pizza...(gooey yolky deliciousness)...and Linda Dannenberg told me to fold and roll my simple dough forming a classic Baguette Parisienne...(Paris Boulangerie Pâtisserie.) Breakfast is served.

I've gone mad for madras. My obsession began in St. Maarten at the French market. All those bright and cheery madras sacks loaded with dizzying aromatic spices brought me back to 7th grade...madras shorts, madras shirts and penny loafers (ok, the shoes weren't madras.) Came home, scoured the thrift shops and came up with little kids' madras shirts which I cut and sewed into my own little spice sacks. Giddy with delight and inspired by the crazy colors, nostalgia and the madras jacket I just saw in the Trina Turk window, my madras mania was uncontrollable and exploded all over these V-day cookies.
